Maneadero, Mexico

Pastor Jorge Moncada in Maneadero, Mexico described a situation there that was remarkably similar to the one in the Philippines. The people were not allowed to work, and the government did not provide any kind of assistance. Maneadero is very much an agricultural community, with most of the people working long hours for very little pay in the fields. We were also able to send funds to Pastor Jorge and his church. They have been planning a “Pantry Ministry” to provide food and cleaning and sanitation supplies to these families. They were to launch the ministry in the first weeks of July but were forced to postpone after 18 of their church members contracted Covid-19.

Many of those 18 sickened by the virus were to be on the ministry team distributing the “Pantries”.
