His Healing Hands realized from multiple health clinics in East Africa that although they could cure many health problems for a time, disease would return all too soon due to the water pollution and and poor sanitation systems in the villages.

WAter Sanitation and Hygiene training (WASH) in East Africa is now part of the on-going HHH disease prevention program. It is conducted by Paul Owino, a long-time HHH colleague and a Kenyan with a passion to bring healing waters to his homeland.

- Water-borne disease is the single most significant treatment we are facing in East Africa.
- Over 50% of patients suffer from water-borne diseases.
- Most of the children who die before age 5, die of water borne diseases.
- Treatment provides only temporary help.
- Prevention training is the only long-term solution.

WASH has been in the works for years as a spin-off from the HHH clinics held in East Africa.

The work ahead:
- Evangelism and discipleship sharing God's love to the needy and witnessing Jesus Christ as the "living waters" that saves and sustains life forever

The challenge at home is to fund the WASH program for 2011 at $30,000 for an entire year of work. Between private and corporate donors, HHH can save thousands of lives from debilitating and life-threatening disease through this WASH program.
