2010 Challenges -- A Year to Be on God's Team

Christian non-profit organizations like His Healing Hands always face many challenges, but God always provides -- usually through people just like you.  2009 was a perfect case in point. Through prayer and faith, HHH answered the medical and spiritual needs in China, Romania, Uganda, Peru and Cambodia and finished the year financially better than the year before. This year we have planned to bless and be blessed even more.  Thanks to all of our faithful supporters, our mutual ministry continues to bear much  fruit.

Baptisms in Cambodia 2009

Kenya 2008

2010 planning is well underway. The need is very great and God has laid some exciting opportunities in our path.

  1. PRAY FOR HHH. All our projects need prayer that --
    • Financial goals will be met.
    • God will raise up volunteers both here and abroad to provide clinics.
    • Teams will have safe travel.
    • Officials abroad will have favor on our projects allowing them to proceed unhindered.
    • Opportunities to share the love of Christ will be provided in abundance and people will have open minds and hearts to the gospel message.
    • Individuals, corporations and/or foundations will commit to supporting the work of HHH on a regular basis.

  2. MEDICAL CLINICS NEED MEDICINE. We have the opportunity to continue reaching remote villages in China, East Africa, Peru, Cambodia, El Salvador, and India with medical care. We hope to physically treat at least 5000 unreached people in these areas and spread the Gospel to at least an additional 2000. The challenge is to provide the medical and vision supplies for the teams. We need to raise about $15,000 ($3 per patient).

  3. EAST AFRICAN PASTORS NEED EDUCATION. We have the opportunity to provide pastor leadership training for 50 pastors in Kenya and 20 pastors in Uganda. These are pastors whose small congregations were positively impacted by our medical teams in 2009 and 2008. The challenge is to partially subsidize the training materials and trainers for the one year program at about $10,000 ($142 per pastor). The balance of  $20,000 will come from corporate or foundation grants.

  4. EAST AFRICA NEEDS CLEAN WATER. The HHH WAter Sanitation and Hygiene training  (WASH) in East Africa is training villagers to implement a clean water program in four East African villages in 2010.   The disease prevention program is a critical follow up to the clinics that HHH does each year in East Africa -- but medicine does not prevent diseases from returning.  The challenge is to fund the program for 2010 at $30,000 - from corporations, foundations and people like you.
